Public Works

The Maitland Public Works Department is the engine of our municipal government, maintaining everything from utilities and roads to public buildings and vehicles.

The department oversees the municipal water utility, which includes 3 treatment plants, 6 wells and more than 70 miles of service pipeline.

The wastewater utility transports 1.3 million gallons of sewage each day through a large network of pipes with 39 lift stations and 24 mini lift stations. Sewage is treated by City of Orlando's Iron Bridge Treatment Plant or to the City of Altamonte Spring's Swofford Treatment Facility.
